Local Health Organizations Partner to Offer H1N1 Education

ELKHART, IN - To help Elkhart County community members learn about and prepare for H1N1 (Swine flu) infection in the region, Elkhart General Hospital, the Elkhart County Health Department, and Elkhart Emergency Physicians, Inc. will offer a free educational program on the H1N1 virus from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at the Jimtown High School Auditorium, 59021 CR 3 in Elkhart.

A panel of experts will present information on a host of H1N1-related topics including an updated overview of the virus, details on what Elkhart County might expect for flu activity, practical tips on what residents should do if they experience symptoms, how H1N1 is transmitted, and vaccine recommendations. There will be time for questions and answers, and everyone in attendance will receive a free resource gift bag to help protect themselves and their families from H1N1.
