Elkhart General Hospital Offers FREE CPR Training in Three Languages

ELKHART, IN - Elkhart General Hospital is offering free “Friends & Family” CPR Classes all day on Saturday, February 12, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with classes beginning every hour. Classes will be offered in 3 languages (English, Spanish & Chinese) and will be held at Elkhart General’s Goshen Campus, 2222 Rieth Blvd., behind Applebee’s on U.S. 33.

Attendees will learn skills in CPR and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction. Instructors present information about the American Heart Association Adult Chain of Survival and signs of a heart attack, cardiac arrest, stroke, and choking for adults. Instructors will review the AHA Pediatric and Child Chain of Survival, signs of choking in infants and children, prevention of sudden infant death syndrome, and the most common fatal injuries in infants and children.

These classes are designed for anyone in the community wanting to learn CPR, but not requiring certification.
