Elkhart General Auxiliary Sponsors Book Sale

ELKHART, IN – The Elkhart General Hospital Auxiliary is sponsoring a book sale on Wednesday, March 16, Thursday, March 17 and Friday, March 18, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. The sale will be held in Hospital’s old admitting lobby adjacent to the outpatient pharmacy.  A wide variety of books will be available with savings of up to 70%. All proceeds will benefit the Elkhart General Hospital Auxiliary.   

Since its founding in 1951 with 131 members, the Elkhart General Hospital Auxiliary has promoted and advanced the welfare of the hospital through daily performance of various tasks and the coordination of major fundraising efforts. The auxiliary adds an “extra dimension” to the caring atmosphere and has enhanced the technological capabilities by assisting in the purchase of state-of-the-art equipment. Their continuing, totally volunteer contribution has a highly positive impact upon patients, family members, visitors, and hospital employees alike. Contributing over 50,500 hours in 2004 through a wide variety of roles, group of dedicated volunteers makes a huge difference.
