Elkhart General and For Women Only Welcome New Physician Assistant Marcy Showalter

ELKHART, IN – Marcy Showalter has joined For Women Only, an affiliate of Elkhart General Hospital, as a physician assistant. She is certified through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Ms. Showalter earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Services at Butler University/Clarian Health Physician Assistant Program in Indianapolis. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Indiana Academy of Physician Assistants.

Physician assistants are health care professionals licensed to practice medicine with physician supervision. As part of their comprehensive responsibilities, physician assistants conduct physical exams, diagnose and treat illnesses, order and interpret tests, counsel on preventive health care, assist in surgery, and in virtually all states can write prescriptions.

For Women Only offers comprehensive obstetrics, gynecologic exams, infertility and reproductive analysis, endometriosis, and gynecologic surgery.
