Arthritis Awareness Event at Farmers Market

ELKHART, IN – Elkhart General is hosting a FREE Arthritis Awareness Event on Thursday, November 19 beginning at 10:00am in the Healthy Lifestyle Corner on the 2nd floor of the American Countryside Farmers Market in Elkhart.
At 10:00am, Dr. Leonard Kibiloski, Orthopaedic Surgeon from OSMC, will present “Knee and Hip Arthritis: Symptoms and Treatment Options.” He will explain the two primary types of arthritis: Rheumatoid Arthritis and Osteoarthritis discuss symptoms and review diagnosis and treatment options.
At 12:00pm, Elkhart General Physical Therapists, Kim Everingham, PTA, CLT and Alissa Whitmer, PTA, CLT, will present “How to Become an Active Manager of Your Arthrits.” They will define the different types of arthritis and will teach self-management skills to live with arthritis.
