Elkhart General’s mission to improve the health and well being of our communities extends to care for the whole person. Because an individual's emotional, mental and spiritual health can be just as important as the physical condition, Center for Behavioral Medicine (CBM) offers a complete line of services to help people of all ages cope with the challenges of life, both large and small.

The mission of CBM is to provide quality mental health services to the diverse Elkhart Community to empower individuals and families to reach their highest potential. CBM is committed to delivery of services through professionally competent staff who value team work, respect and growth. CBM will work to ensure utilization of all resources to achieve positive consumer satisfaction. We will advocate for mental health through use of proactive vision and action.

Our Outpatient Therapy Services for adults, adolescents, and children include family and couples counseling, individual therapy, medication management, psychological testing, assessment/evaluation, and group therapy.

Our Adult Inpatient Treatment Services include individual therapy, health concepts, education, coping skills, recreational therapy, electroconvulsive therapy, psychotherapy, and stress management and drug and alcohol detoxification.

• Inpatient Services
  Located on the second floor of Elkhart General Hospital, Center for Behavioral Medicine (CBM) has on-site counselors, physicians, psychiatrists and trained staff who provide assessment, testing, therapy, medication management, inpatient care, and counseling for adults and their families, with an emphasis on understanding and making healthy changes.
• Outpatient Services
  Elkhart General's Center for Behavior Medicine Outpatient Clinic is located in downtown Elkhart at 307 S. Main Street where convenient, handicapped accessible parking may be found at the building and in the Civic Parking area.
