Radio-Frequency Ablation is achieved by inserting metallic probes - needles or similar multi-pronged devices - directly into the targeted tumor. Radio-frequency waves are then passed through these devices directly into the tumor to destroy it. The procedure is performed under CT guidance within Radiation Oncology.
