Description

Annually, Elkhart General holds a Women & Children's Health Fair at Elkhart Memorial High School.

The Fair offers FREE health screenings, information booths, attractions for kids, and more.

Screenings

  • Blood Glucose Screening (non-fasting)
  • Blood Pressure Screening 
  • Body Fat Measurement/Body Mass Index 
  • Bone Density Scan (Osteoporosis) 
  • Breast Self-Exam Teaching 
  • Car Seat Inspection (9:00am - noon) 
  • Cholesterol Screening (Total; non-fasting) 
  • Colorectal Cancer Screening Kits 
  • Depression Screening 
  • Lipid Panel Screening (TC/HDL/LDL, Cholesterol, Glucose,
    Triglycerides) (First 150 attendees. Requires 12-hour fast. Please drink water) 
  • Meningococcal Vaccine ($8, for college students who will be living
    in a dormitory for the first time; please bring complete immunization record) 
  • Peripheral Artery Screening (Screens for perpheral arterial disease
    of the legs) 
  • Pneumonia Vaccination ($35, Adults 18 and older, must be at risk for
    pneumococcal disease. No cost to Medicare B card holders; please
    bring card and complete immunization record) 
  • Recreational Water Testing Strips 
  • Skin Cancer Assessment/Mole Check 
  • Sports Physical - Please bring your school’s athletic form (This is
    not a complete school physical. Please have your child dress in
    shorts and t-shirt.) 
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria (Td) ($28 for Adults 65 and older) 
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis (Tdap) ($43 for Adults 19-64; $8 for parents of
    children 12 months or younger)
