The goal of the Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Course is to provide the healthcare provider with skills and knowledge necessary to effectively and efficiently recognize and manage critically ill infants and children with an emphasis on respiratory management, early recognition of impending arrest and prohibiting cardiac arrest. Skils taught include: a systematic approach to assessment, intraosseous acces, electrical therapy, fluid administration, and effective team communication. The program is designed for physicians, registered nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, respiratory therapists, and advanced level EMS providers responsible for emergency pediatric care. This is a two-day course.
$100 for affiliated providers and EGH employees; $125 for non-EGH affiliated providers
