Elkhart General’s HME Summer Elective Program offers medical students, who have completed one year of study, an opportunity to spend eight to ten weeks working with EGH medical staff and personnel learning about the local health care system.
Students participate in various departments and specialties in the hospital, as well as private practice offices.
The HME Program is sponsored by the Indiana Health & Hospital Association (IHHA) and the Indiana State Medical Association and is endorsed by the Indiana University School of Medicine. This program operates independently from the Indiana University School of Medicine.
