Preparation for Childbirth Class

Description

Learn about all facets of the labor process, such as recognizing signs and symptoms of labor, comfort measure for the mother, the supportive role of the coach, and relaxation and breathing techniques. Discussion relative to emergency and scheduled cesarean section, as well as the use of epidural anesthesia during childbirth and care of the mother and baby after delivery is covered.

A tour of the Special Beginnings Maternity Center is included.

Class meets once a week for 6 weeks.
